Transtar Introduces ‘Unprecedented’ New Remanufactured Transmission Unit Warranties

Transtar's Premium PLUS Protection plan, also referred to as Transtar P3, presents customers with the opportunity to offer a warranty up to 36 months or 500,000 miles - at what the company states is the best price in the industry.

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Transtar Industries announced it is introducing an "unprecedented" new warranty plan for its full line of complete automatic and standard transmissions and transfer case units.

Transtar’s Premium PLUS Protection plan, also referred to as Transtar P3, presents customers with the opportunity to offer a warranty up to 36 months or 500,000 miles – at what the company states is the best price in the industry.

“Our team here at Transtar is very excited about the opportunities and new jobs this plan can bring to our customers,” says Mark Russell, director of Transtar’s Complete Transmission Solutions Unit line. “Not only can they now offer a greater variety of options, but they can present additional coverage. All warranty options are nationwide and transferable. We have also added limited car rental and towing reimbursement in the extended warranty options.”

Transtar P3 consists of three warranty options. The Standard Protection is included at no additional cost with the purchase of any complete transmission unit. This option covers the transmission up to 18 months or 18,000 miles, and includes a labor rate up to $60 an hour. The extended warranties available are Transtar’s Premium Protection and Ultimate Protection. The Premium Protection covers the transmission up to 36 months or 100,000 miles, and includes a labor rate up to $75 an hour. The Ultimate Protection covers the transmission up to 36 months or 500,000 miles, and includes a labor rate up to $95 an hour.

“We have such great confidence in our line of complete transmission units,” said Jim Berry, vice president of marketing at Transtar. “Enhancing our warranty plan was a natural step for us to continue providing the solutions our customers need. This plan is just another way in which Transtar shows we strive for customer satisfaction.”
