CINNAMINSON, N.J. TransAxle LLC has been selected by Eaton as one of the first participants in its Authorized Rebuilder program. As one of three companies worldwide to be recognized as an Eaton Authorized Rebuilder, TransAxle and its sister company, TRC, will have the opportunity to remanufacture and sell a differentiated choice for Eaton’s popular lineup of heavy-duty transmissions. TransAxle/TRC customers will now have expanded options to purchase remanufactured transmissions with 100 percent genuine Eaton components supported by Eaton’s Roadranger service network on a nationwide basis.
"The program has been constructed to provide enhanced value to the rebuilders and ultimately to the end-users who purchase our products," said Bill Fouch, aftermarket marketing manager, NAFTA, for Eaton. "TransAxle has fully participated in the creation of this value added program, and their capabilities are first class. We look forward to mutually providing a better option to our Eaton transmission customers across the country."
To be recognized as an Eaton Authorized Rebuilder, TransAxle/TRC staff were required to take Eaton technical and sales training, meet certain Eaton re-use and rebuild criteria, and they must use 100 percent genuine Eaton content for the authorized transmissions.
"We believe the combination of Eaton’s technical knowledge and our geographical footprint and excellent reputation in terms of taking care of the customer will now provide all of those same customers with an even higher level of service," said David Olsen, CEO of TransAxle. "With our 23 locations that span from Maine down through the Carolinas and as far west as Tennessee and Ohio, we will now be able to offer same- or next-day service to customers as far west as Illinois with this new program."
Eaton will provide TransAxle/TRC with enhanced warranty coverage and marketing support, including signage and tags for the rebuilt units, promotional materials, advertising support and Eaton website notations.
