Bosch Partners with MIT on Energy Initiative; Pledges $5 Million to Support Research
Bosch announced this week it is collaborating with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in a new energy research initiative to explore new materials and concepts for energy conversion and energy storage systems. Specifically, Bosch has become a Sustaining Member of the MIT Energy Initiative (MITEI) with the commitment of $5 million dollars over five years. This new partnership is part of Bosch’s commitment to the development of energy efficient technologies and its heritage of developing technologies that can be used in the manufacture of vehicles.
Continental Product Lines Now Include VDO and ATE
The VDO and ATE brands are now part of the Continental Corporation’s product portfolio. The addition of the VDO lines of electric motors, engine management, instrumentation, and door systems comes as part of the acquisition of Siemens VDO AG by Continental AG. The ATE lines of brake rotors, pads, and service parts had already been part of the Continental portfolio. Along with the VDO and ATE lines, Continental now offers a complete line of TPMS replacement parts under the Continental brand.
