BETHESDA, MD — Building on record-setting attendance at this year’s event, the Aftermarket eForum 2007 promises to be a great opportunity to see results and learn what works in the area of ecommerce and supply chain technology, says the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association, the event’s sponsoring association. The Aftermarket eForum 2007 is scheduled for July 16-18, at the newly refurbished Hyatt Regency O’Hare in Chicago.
At the 2007 eForum, presenters from across the industry and around the world will share their experiences in putting standards-based technology to work in the aftermarket. “Adopting technology for fun and profit,” is how Scott Luckett, eForum planning chairman and AAIA vice president, technology standards and solutions, describes the theme of the 2007 agenda.
“The Aftermarket eForum will feature speakers, panels and workshops presented by those in the industry that have seen the benefits and ROI of investing in better data management and e-commerce solutions,” Luckett said.
Monday, July 16, the first afternoon of the conference, will feature three tracks that will dive into topics of interest specifically about manufacturing solutions, distribution technology and etailing. The second day, Tuesday, July 17, is devoted to speakers and panelists who bring their expertise and experience from around the world. Featured presentations will include the CEO of TecDoc, a global automotive data provider; and lessons about global data synchronization from a worldwide parts and industrial products maker. The eForum wraps up on Wednesday, July 18 with a morning of stories of successful e-commerce solutions as told by the industry leaders who built them.
“There is something important going on in the aftermarket,” said Luckett. “Change is not only in the air, but in the financial reports of those who have adopted modern solutions and best practices. The eForum is where aftermarket professionals come to learn from one another and, yes, have fun.”
