U.S. Auto Parts Network, an online provider of aftermarket auto parts and accessories, has entered into an agreement to purchase certain assets of SmartTrac Inc. related to a website that provides information on the purchasing, caring for and repairing automobiles.

Manufacturer-Driven IT Solutions Slated for Discussion at MIS Council Fall Conference

Representatives of three automotive parts manufacturers will discuss how information technology (IT) innovations have helped their companies realize supply chain improvements and profitability on Tuesday, Oct. 14, at the MIS Council Fall Conference in Marco Island, Fla. The Fall Conference program on the morning of Tuesday, Oct. 14, will be devoted to manufacturer IT innovations.

Datalliance to Acquire and Manage HDeXchange

Datalliance, an independent provider of vendor managed inventory (VMI) and other e-commerce services, has acquired the assets of HDeXchange Inc. (HDX), a provider of e-commerce solutions to the heavy duty truck parts supply chain. Datalliance will assume control of all activities related to both HDeXchange, and its wholly-owned subsidiary, HDX Services. HDX will maintain its name and full suite of services, but with the financial backing of Datalliance.
