RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — Jeremy Denton has been named executive director of the AASA Overseas Automotive Council (OAC). His new duties include membership recruitment and development of programs and services for the Council. Denton replaces Anthony Cardez, who is no longer with the association.
“We are pleased to have Jeremy on the AASA OAC team and look forward to new programs and initiatives for the Council under his leadership,” said Steve Handschuh, president and COO of AASA. “We thank Anthony for his years of service to OAC and wish him well in his future endeavors,” he added.
Denton also is director, programs and member services, of AASA. His responsibilities include government affairs and directing the activities of MEMA’s product line groups: the Filter Manufacturers Council (FMC) and the Transportation and Safety Equipment Institute (TSEI). He also serves as the AASA liaison to the Brake Manufacturers Council (BMC).
Before joining MEMA in 2005, Denton worked for PCIA as the director of industry affairs. He holds a masters degree in public policy from The George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Arkansas.
