Federated Names Standard Motor Products Outstanding Vendor of the Year

Each year, Federated honors one company as Outstanding Vendor of the Year in appreciation of their exceptional dedication to excellence in all areas including leadership, marketing, training and sales support.

STAUNTON, Va. – Federated Auto Parts presented its Outstanding Vendor of the Year Award for 2008 to Standard Motor Products (SMP) at its annual meeting in Tampa, Fla.

The award was presented by Bo Fisher, chairman of Federated Auto Parts, during the awards dinner on April 30. Accepting the award on behalf of Standard Motor Products were John Gethin, president and chief operating officer, and Bill Collins, Federated sales and marketing coordinator.
 
“Standard Motor Products was selected as the Outstanding Vendor of the Year because they have demonstrated excellence in key categories that are important to Federated members,” said Fisher. “From their tremendous commitment to supplying top quality parts and comprehensive coverage to their outstanding training and technical support, Standard Motor Products is dedicated to Federated’s success. We especially appreciate the extraordinary efforts of the SMP sales team and support staff that work on our behalf on a daily basis.”
