Dayco Named Large Industry Of The Year In Walterboro, S.C.

This award, voted on by members of the Walterboro-Colleton Chamber of Commerce, is given to a large industry that is a proven leader within the Walterboro community.

TROY, Mich. – Dayco Products has been named the 2014 Large Industry Award winner by the Walterboro-Colleton Chamber of Commerce in Walterboro, S.C. This award, voted on by members of the chamber, is given to a large industry that is a proven leader within the Walterboro community. Walterboro-Colleton Chamber of Commerce membership consists of more than 300 members, and only one industry or business can win this award.
 
“The Dayco family has been a proud member of the Walterboro-Colleton County community for over 40 years and is excited to accept this award," said Tom Green, director of North American Operations – Flexible Components for Dayco. "Dayco can attribute its success during this period to the dedicated and hardworking associates who take pride in manufacturing the highest quality products and delivering those products to our customers on a timely basis."

In June 2013, Dayco celebrated 40 years of operation at its Walterboro, S.C., belt manufacturing plant. Opened in 1973, the Walterboro plant is home to more than 130 employees who produce v-belts and serpentine belts for the both the original equipment industry and the automotive aftermarket, as well as performance belts for the ATV and snowmobile markets.
