CVSN in Talks with HDAW Organizers

The Board of Directors of the Commercial Vehicle Solutions Network (CVSN) has agreed to discuss with the organizers of Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW), the development of a new meeting model for industry week. Representatives of CVSN will meet with HDAW organizers to discuss ways to co-ordinate efforts and unify the North American manufacturers and independent distributors.

JACKSONVILLE, FL — The Board of Directors of the Commercial Vehicle Solutions Network (CVSN) has agreed to discuss with the organizers of Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW), the development of a new meeting model for industry week.

Representatives of CVSN will meet with HDAW organizers to discuss ways to co-ordinate efforts and unify the North American manufacturers and independent distributors.

Ken Duval, who is president of Canadian Wheel Industries in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and incoming president of CVSN in September, is chairman of the CVSN negotiating team that will meet with the HDAW organizers. Also on that team are Wayne Keller of Keller Truck Parts, Tom Stewart of Carolina Rim and Wheel and Marc Karon of Total Truck Parts.

“Our association continues to evolve in the best interests of our members. We provide many benefits to our members throughout the entire year, but the focal point for both manufacturers and distributors is our meetings. Incorporating some aspects of both CVSN and HDAW meetings may be the best solution for the industry and we are willing to explore that opportunity for the benefit of our members and the industry as a whole,” said Duval.

The Commercial Vehicle Solutions Network was formed in 2006 from the merger of the Council of Fleet Specialists (CFS) and the National Wheel and Rim Association (NWRA) and is North America’s largest distributor governed association.
