A.R.E. has been a manufacturer of fiberglass truck caps and hard tonneau covers for the past 35 years. The company has more than 800 employees at its ISO-9001:2000-certified manufacturing facilities and a network of more than 600 independent authorized dealers.
The TopUp Series is a low profile fiberglass tonneau that features an electric/hydraulic lift mechanism that raises the cover to allow up to 6 1/2 feet of clearance from the floor of the truck bed. Activated by a switch mounted underneath the dash, the tonneau’s electric/hydraulic motor (located inside the bed, in front of the driver-side wheel well) initializes the lifting mechanism to raise the lid to a desired height – thus creating additional cargo space or a sheltered work area for outside projects, as well as providing accessibility to the truck bed from all sides. When closed, the TopUp provides a secure, weather-resistant storage area. And, because the cover is locked by the pulling pressure of the lift system, no lock cylinder or keys are needed.
Available for all current model domestic short bed and extra short bed pickup trucks, A.R.E.’s TopUp is painted to meet customer specifications by matching the vehicle paint code through a state-of-the-art factory painting system. The tonneau is backed by A.R.E.’s traditional limited lifetime warranty.
